Partners and Funders Overview

"Partnering Liverpool PCT with PSS is one of the successes of this programme to date. We have been able to draw on the strengths and expertise of both organisations, and implemented a service that has already been of huge benefit to the local population."

Dr Paula Grey, Joint Director of Public Health, Liverpool Primary Care Trust. January 2008

PSS - Partners and Funders

PSS is a well established charity that has provided support to tens of thousands of people in need of care for the last 90 years and we would never have achieved this without the dedicated help of our partners and funders. We can provide our care services to thousands of people with the financial backing of our partners and funders, but to ensure we maintain this level of care we need the continued financial support of businesses and organisations.

We have worked with a large number of businesses and organisations over the years, and all have helped our charity improve the quality of our services for vulnerable people in the community. One of our recent partnerships was the creation of the 800 group.

Bringing together six of our long-standing voluntary sector partners; Age Concern Liverpool, Imagine, Nugent Care, Bradbury Fields, Henshaws, the Merseyside Society for Deaf People and PSS, we began working together in spring 2008, to use resources more creatively and efficiently to innovate new service models. '800' represents the number of cumulative years the partners have been trading.

The 800 group partners are looking to use resources more creatively and efficiently to, for example, support the development of enterprise, innovate new service models and projects, and contribute to the personalized care agenda.

PSS is always interested in hearing from potential partners and funders interested in developing innovative ways of supporting people. To find out more about how you can become a partner or funder contact us using the 'Contact Us' link at the top of the page.
